Cargotec files a lawsuit against SweFrame for theft of Bromma’s product information

26.07.2011 – Cargotec has filed a lawsuit in Sweden against SweFrame Port Equipment AB, a recently established competitor to Cargotec’s leading crane spreader company Bromma Conquip.  The claims are, inter alia, for damages due to theft and use by SweFrame of Bromma’s sensitive product information.

The Swedish police department for intellectual property law cases has searched the premises of SweFrame and confiscated Bromma drawings and other Bromma materials.

Västmanlands tingsrätt, the local court in Sweden, has accepted the lawsuit and ordered SweFrame to comment on the claims, facts and circumstances in Cargotec’s lawsuit. A first hearing in the matter is expected to take place after the summer break.
