IFM develops ecolink M12 connector

18.03.2011 – German IFM electronics has developed a new range of M12 connectors to ensure the reliable transmission of sensor signals in ship to shore crane operations.

The ecolink M12 connector is designed to withstand extreme environmental conditions as its continuously high protection ratings indicate (IP 67, IP 68 and IP 69 K). Its integrated mechanical end stop protects the O-ring which means that destruction by excessive pressing is prevented. This eliminates the need to use an extensive torque wrench at installation. The ecolink M12 also features an asymmetrically vibrating function which prevents the coupling nut from loosening, to ensure that the connector is held firmly in position. It maintains good LED visibility, even in bright light, due to the black, transparent, plastic covering.

The ecolink M12 holds cURus approvals and therefore can be used worldwide.
