Intelligent design from Hyster at TOC Europe 2011
10.05.2011 – Hyster Europe will be demonstrating ways of achieving fuel savings of up to 15% at TOC Europe 2011 (Terminal Operations Conference and Exhibition), from 7-9 June, at the Antwerp Expo in Belgium.
Material handling equipment manufacturer Hyster Europe will be exhibiting on stand C6 at TOC 2011 and will be promoting a number of “Big Truck” innovations that will affect ports and terminal operations across the world. Visitors to the Hyster stand will see how Intelligent Design has helped deliver an energy efficient range of tough trucks with reduced lifetime cost and excellent reliability.
“Depending on rating, duty cycle and application, the new Hyster trucks can achieve up to a 15% fuel saving, compared to the previous models” says Jan-Willem van den Brand, product strategy manager for Hyster Big Trucks.
In November 2010, Hyster unveiled a new range of container handlers and forklift trucks above 16 tonnes lifting capacity, featuring new Cummins engines and new system technologies to ensure full Tier 4i / Stage IIIB compliance. In addition to Cummins engine technologies, Hyster has done more than is required to meet new legislation, by optimising truck functions to provide intelligent engine speed control, including hibernate idle, load sensing hydraulics and demand sensitive cooling systems.
“Hyster engineers have reduced the carbon footprint of Hyster products by improving fuel economy and have also lowered the cost of operation even further on some models” he says. An excellent example is the empty container handler incorporating the award winning tyre preserving technology, which can reduce tyre wear and associated costs by a factor of up to three.
Visitors to the Hyster stand (C6) at TOC Europe 2011 will have the opportunity to discuss the entire Hyster product range, developments and local support with Hyster specialists. The global brand has a long established history of manufacturing high capacity trucks at its world-class facility in Nijmegen, The Netherlands. The Hyster Big Trucks range can be tailored to suit specific applications and includes high capacity forklift trucks, empty container handlers and reachstackers, suitable for demanding 24/7 operations everywhere.
Hyster products are supported by an extensive network of authorised distribution partners, providing coverage and expert service across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), the Americas and Asia-Pacific, helping to maximise customer’s productivity and efficiency, and reduce overall operating costs.
