Terex delivers first empty container handlers to Hipercon

15.02.2011 – Terex cranes dealer Equiport has delivered its first two Terex® FDC 18K6 Empty Container Handler units to Hipercon Terminais de Carga Ltda at Santos Port in Brazil.

Equipped with a 200 HP engine, hydrodynamic transmission and hydraulic side spreader for 20 and 40-foot containers, the FDC 18K6 is considered to be one the most reliable, time proven models in its category.  “We chose this model for offering the right combination of reliability, compact size, high speed operation and low maintenance costs”, said Mr. Renato Nunes dos Reis, General Manager, Hipercon.

Equiport has gained strong experience in the port equipment sector since its partnership with Terex began, offering dedicated customer service provided by highly trained after-sales teams and a stock of 2000 original spare parts.  Equiport recently complemented its Port Equipment portfolio with Terex® Empty Container Handlers and Forklifts.

In partnership with Equiport, Terex Cranes has sold over 350 reach stacker units to over 70 customers in 14 ports throughout Brazil. “For Terex, this delivery premier is a good example of just how well our offering is suited to the needs of the Brazilian customers.
